How early should I start studying for AP Exams?

How and when to study for the AP exams?

  • Winter break just started today and I was planning a mass AP review session. I'm taking 4 AP classes: Biology, Computer Science, U.S. History and English Language. Do you think this a good time to start studying? I do not want to cram for the exams. I also really want a 5 on all of them except for English (A 4 will be fine). Also, how should I go about studying? I was planning to review all my notes, read the chapters we've learned so far and possible read a study guide from Princeton Review. By the way, this is not the only thing I'm doing this break. I have parties to go to, so please don't tell me to get a life.

  • Answer:

A lot of high schools have prep classes, but it's probably too late for those. Those Princeton Review study guides are actually really useful, though. They give some pretty good tips and tell you fairly accurately what to expect. I spent a weekend studying with mine and did really well. Just make sure you take the practice tests and review it afterwords.

Other answers

If I remember correctly, the AP exams are in May. Now is a good time to start reviewing. Look at your notes, do the practice tests and essays. Also, be sure to attend any extra sessions your teacher may offer.
