High school student taking community college math courses? What is it like?
-
I got pretty behind in math, and need to catch up by going to a community college class outside of school and over the summer. How are the classes different from high school classes? Is there some way to prepare for the change?
-
Answer:
1. Average age of the students. You will probably be in a classroom with people of all ages. This may put you out of your comfort zone. 2. Quick pace. Keep up with the work. Don't fall behind because it will be difficult to catch up. If you need help, professor generally have office hours and I would advise you to go to them if you need extra help. 3. You are treated as an adult. No excuses for missing work or assignments. If your dog ate your homework, too bad.
