How do you start a community service club in Middle School?

I want to write a note to my principal, like a letter. I want him to think about starting a community service club at our school. We have plenty of clubs at our school, but wouldn't it be great to have a club where kids can learn about growing plants, and taking action to help the world? Well, in this letter i want him to consider thinking about it! but i just don't know what to say to him! i have started clubs at our school before and i have also created many spirit weeks! such as ANTI-BULLY week! He loves my ideas, but i have wrote him beautiful letters before. I just don't know how to write the easiest topic! can someone please help!
