Are there AP Exams online?

School is making ap exams mandatory, but I already have credits for it?

• My school this year has decided to require everyone who is in an AP class to take the AP exam. If a person is taking the ap exam, then they won't have to take the exam by the teacher for a grade. The school is paying for the exams. That is fine and dandy, but I set up my classes last Spring, before I found out about my AP scores from last year. I took AP US History last year, got a 4 (figured out in July), but still enrolled in AP World History. It would have cost $20 to allow me to change from ap world to something else, so I stayed in it, expecting to just not take the ap exam. I asked my college that I will be attending if my score of 4 covered my history prerequisites and they said yes. Now that my high school is making ap exams mandatory, I am thinking I am wasting everybody's time. I didn't pay attention in ap world much at all. I would have no motivation to do well on the exam. I could contact the school and tell them this... however, that would cause trouble and inconvenience for my teacher. I would have to take a regular final exam and chances are, I'll be the only one taking it. So, my teacher and I would both have to stay for an extra 2 hours during exam week, he would have to create a test just for me, and I would have to take it for an actual grade. What should I do? I will talk to my ap world teacher about this, but I need some feedback.
