Answer:
Well I am a Senior in college and what I do is in my lecture classes I ask the professor if I can use a digital recorder to record the lecture. This way I listen over and over to the lectures in my spare time or any time I can. If the classes aren't lecture and there is something you need to know from your class notes, read your class notes onto the digital recorder and same thing...you can take the recorder anywhere. If you are riding in the car or sitting waiting to be picked up from school or even while exercising. I used to even sleep with earphones in my recorder and it really really helps. You have to listen to them as much as possible...each day you should listen to them. Also rewriting your notes sometimes helps. Also reading the written notes while listening sometimes helps too. If it is something for example like art history, I would make copies of each piece we were studying and make notes on the page with the picture of the piece. Again I would read the notes onto my recorder too. Another thing is to study and everyday even if you just review for 15 minutes. Every time you see what you are trying to learn you make your memory build little connectors that eventually cause the information to go into your long term memory. You will be more confident on exams because you will know, that you know the material. If you see it and hear it daily then it will sink in. Don't wait until a few days before to start studying and don't wait until the night before and cram..If you study a little every day and use the digital recorder you will have great success. I like the Olympus recorder better than the Sony. The Olympus isn't in stereo but it has a clearer sound to it. The Sony has stereo sound but isn't as clear to hear. You can adjust the record time so you can record more onto one recorder but the quaiity is compromised. I would use the middle setting if you want to get more on your recorder. Anyway good luck to you and also don't be afraid to seek out a tutor for those subjects where you need extra help.

when I was in college, i wrote everything down (took lots of notes) I rarely even looked at my notes, but I think just writing that first time helps commit it to memory. Oh, and I gradutated w/ a 3.9 GPA, so it worked

Ask your teachers what your exact grades are. You could have a 88 or something in a few classes and not know it. If you are that close to an A, study extra hard for those classes and see if there is any extra credit you can do. Sometimes studying with a classmate helps in that they may remember things that you forgot. B's are not bad. Keep up the good work and I wish you the best.

tips for studying... it depends on the type of person you are... some people need to see things and then can understand what they are doing... try looking at many examples before you attempt things... and study with music playing softly in the background some people need to read things over and over again... try copying things to remember them or even by mumbling it over and over again kind of like meditating HOPE IT WORKS!!!!!

if you keep on getting b's you need to change your study habits. well, keep doing the same , but just don't study to pass the tests. as boring as the subject is , learn more about it and you can easily remember it like it was a story.

Congratulations on maintaining a B average, that's not bad. But how can it be better? 1. I would suggest that first and foremost try to ensure that you pay attention in class and take good notes. If you are following what the teacher is saying and you realize that you are not fully comprehending ask questions right away. 2. Read outside of class, reread what you learn each day especially concepts that are a bit tricky to you. Don't just skim but think about, process what you are reading. Read widely, read ahead of the class and go to classes already having a idea about what will be covered this will ensure that you can actively participate in discussions. 3. Complete all assignments. Always do your best when completing assignments. 4. There are many study techniques. They don't all work for everyone. Do some internet research on study techniques, try them out and stick with those that work for you. Here is one such website that you may visit to learn more about techniques that aid in academic success. www.studytechniques.org
