I hate science, do I have to take it?
-
Im a freshman in high school and hate science, and I don't want to have anything related to science as my career. At my school, 3 credits of science are required. Physical Science Survey, biology, and an elective. Im taking P.S.S. now, biology next year, and wondering what next. Do I take anatomy which is also 1 credit to be done with the science requirements, or take chemistry, physics, etc., even though there not required, to get into a good college? I want to be a lawyer, possibly a political science major, but not a doctor, scientist, or anything science related. Should I suck it up? Or does it really matter? Thanks.

If your school requires it to graduate then suck it up. If not take something more related to what you want to do.

I say suck it up and take the physics or chem. It showes schools you are working hard in classes even though you dont necessarily need them.

i really hate science too but yes it is slightly important i took physical science last year and its not that bad chem is pretty hard but not completly bad if u like math and next year im taking physics cause it is a blow off class here really i would recomend anything like that if you enjoy math its truely not that bad and that way you'll be more prepaired for college, so just keep up with it and it will b over in no time

Yeah, take a class that counts for 2 credits in one year.

yes it does matter. colleges look to see if you at least tried to challenge yourself in high school because those are the type of people they're looking for. you probably hate math so don't take chemistry. anatomy would probably be the best for you. i'm a political science major and I hate science too, but you have to complete your requirements to graduate.
