I received my GED but now want to go back to high school. Can I receive high school credit for getting a GED?

I am 17. I got my GED a few months ago but now want to return to high school. Will or can the high school give me high school credit for the GED so I can get my diploma sooner? In other words can they give me a credit for the math portion of the GED, a credit for the social studies portion, etc?

Answer:
Yes, you can return back to high school and get credit it depends on your score and it also depends on the state you live in: Credit is allowed toward a high school diploma according to the following schedule: Standard Scores: 450 – 500 5 credits per test (elective only) 510 – 600 10 credits per test (elective or required) 610 – over 15 credits per test (all elective or 5 elective and 10 required) With the following limitations, the schedule above may be applied as follows: Writing Skills Test 10 credits of English Reading 10 credits of English Social Science Test 10 credits of world history Mathematics Test 10 credits of mathematics Science Test 10 credits of physical or biological I hope you have a certain reason why you would want to go back to high school when you can start studying for your college classes or start taking early summer sessions instead of going back to high school. I understand that many people undermine the GED but it is the equivalent to a high school diploma. I was accepted to a four year university and I am currently applying to Medical School. Here is a video I made of people who became a doctor, astronaut, governor, judges, etc that who succeeded with a GED instead of a high school diploma : www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU9RZDug86U&co… but if you feel its necessary go for it. My opinion your wasting your time. It's like saying you feel like drinking a cola and you choose a store brand cola instead of a pepsi or coca cola. I am so grateful for getting the chance to complete my GED and I laugh at people who look down on GED Grad's because alot of us are smarter than the average high school grad. Anyway good luck dear and if you have any questions feel free to comment on my site www.operationged.com
