Is accounting high school course is hard?

Help on course selections for Junior year of high school? please help?

  • I need to take 6 core classes. I've decided to take: -Morality and Social Justice -Honors Physics -Honors PreCalculus I am unsure whether to take: -Honors Spanish or College Prep Spanish (I took CP spanish freshman and sophomore yr) -Honors English or AP English for seniors (there is no AP offered for jrs, but i qualify for the sr course) -Honors American History or AP American history Also, I have another choice: Whether to take a 7th course or not. If I don't, I fill those extra slots with studies and gym class. I want to take either Accounting I or Statistics/Economics (both sr courses) for a 7th course, but I do not want to overdue it.... Virtual High School is also an option Currently, I am taking 4 honors courses and have been maintaining good grades (A's and B's) and have been asked to apply for National Honors Society but I am unfamiliar with the intensity of the Junior year of high school. As for extra-curricular, I am joining cross-country and track (practice mon-fri 230-430 and meets all day for wed and sat) Am I being over-ambitious???? What do colleges like to see?

  • Answer:

If you're able to maintain good grades, try for the harder courses. Colleges like to see that students are well-rounded (i.e. jobs or extra-curricular activities) and that you are willing and able to work hard. If you take college level classes, colleges will see that you are already used to the workload. As for the 7th course, I would take a study hall if you can, which would also show colleges that you know how to prioritize and manage your time. Hope I helped!

it really depends on what you want to major in in college. Having college credit once you enter college is reeally beneficial and helps clear up your schedule. One thing to keep in mind, I highly suggest you pursue spanish throughout high school b/c for the most part you will be required to take it in college and it's a lot tougher

Junior year has been fairly easy for me although all of your classes are senior classes though
