Tips to taking the Specialized High School Test?

  • I'm an 8th grader and I'm taking the test on Sunday. I want to get into Stuyvesant. I want to know what I schould and shouldn't do on the day of the test.

    It's kind of late to do much now. The best preparation for the test is to study and do your work on a daily basis. That is time enough for the 7th grader who is interested in Stuyvesant HS. In doing the multiple choice part of the examination do not change an answer. If you are like most students you more often change a right answer to a wrong answer than a wrong answer to a right answer. The solution to that is simple. Do not change answers and you will be better off. You should bring two number two pencils and two pens that write in black ink. Get a good nights sleep this evening. Leave your home early enough so that you do not need to rush. Good luck.

well. i actually took the test today and it was insanely hard. the day before i rested and hung out with friends because you arent supposed to study and you are just supposed to be relaxing. Then the day of the test you are supposed to have gotten a good nights sleep and have eaten a good breakfast. Be sure to eat protein because it nourishes the mind. the test varies each year and the year before it was supposedly very easy and this year it was really hard. So all i have to say is review your stuff and do your best!! GOOD LUCK!!!!! (he he but not really ;) )

lol days it monday now so a little late for this so i'm not going to botter. any ways..the test was man easy. it was a joke. my friend finished in like 75 mins
