What's the difference between Online School and Regular School?

Hey Whats the difference between Junior High/Middle School and High/Senior High School?

Hey I am an Australian, and was wondering, why in the States/Canada they have such a system as a Junior High/Middle School and then move into High School/Senior High School, why on earth sepereate them, like two phases of Secondary Education, like in Australia once you reach year 7 or 8 (depending on area) you have reached what they call Secondary/High School, not junior high/middle school in my country, so why do they do it there and why do they call it Elementary school not primary school like they have hear which is like years 1-6/7 (depending on area again)??? whats the use of having two different phases of Secondary schools in USA/Canada??? we don't why do they??? is it the age difference or something??? I really want to know??? just wondering, thanks if someone could answer this for me, this has been on my mind for a while. Hey there.. I live in New Zealand, and they have Junior Highs and Senior Highs here too. Its basically so that certain age groups are together. It solves year 7s dating year 12s... There is a HUGE maturity difference between an 11 year old and a 16 year old. And its actually good to move around a bit, prepares you for later life.

actually, a lot of times junior high is in the same school as elementary school, and its just one school. sometimes not. but im not exactly sure why, maybe because they dont want all of those teenagers influencing the little kids, and giving bad examples or anything. but again, im not sure exactly.

I could not tell you... In the county that I teach, we only have: Primary Schools (Pre K-3rd Grade) Elementary Schools (4th-6th Grade) Middle Schools(7th & 8th Grade) High Schools (9Th -12th Grade) Vocational Schools (9th -11th Grade) and Alternative Schools (1st-12th Grade)
