How to skip 8th grade?

How can I skip 8th grade :/?

  • Ok well first it started when I came to Miami in the end of second grade in my country. I was held back because of my english so I had to re-do 2nd which is ok, big deal. In 7th grade (left at the last semester last year) I had to leave to Colombia (home country) because my mom felt like moving back and we had no idea about the school calendar difference, anyways I ended up doing 7th grade pretty much again because over there they were barely half way and I technically hadn't finished :/ . BEFORE the 7th grade ended in Colombia I CAME BACK TO MIAMI -_________- which by the way was just starting school so I had to do 7th grade OVER again :( . Anyways I couldn't go back to my old school because I was too embarrased to see all my friends at a higher grade than me ._. . Anyways in my new school I noticed that this girl in 7th grade got transferred to 8th because I guess she's smarticles ha. I am currently in Gifted Honors (since 5th grade) and I was also added into Cambridge this year (still 7th) Anyways I'm taking 9th grade courses for all my subjects and I was thinking , hey when I get to 8th grade why can't I just skip it you know ? I mean I'm already more intelligent than most 8th graders in my school since my classes are shared with Honors 8th graders and I've pretty much done this twice. Is there any way that in august when I enter 8th grade I can somehow skip it ? Oh by the way I don't know if this helps but my district is Miami-Dade county :) Thank you for your help <3

  • Answer:

I live in you're same county. But I'm currently in 8th grade with Honor class, it depends talk with a teacher or consul got transferred from Pre- Algebra to Algebra 1 Honors because I went from a 2 to a 4 in the FCAT Math; and people got impressed and moved me up to an upper class. I think you can't skip a grade if you're REALLY SMART. In, my class theirs a 11 year old becoming 12 and were 13-14 years old and he skipped 3rd and 4th grade and went start to 5th. Ask you're local teachers and maybe they can help you. :D Good luck and Good Luck in the FCAT. :D

Either get straight A's for the whole year in 7th grade ooooooor, do what I did, Be in all honors classes in 7th and then in 8th, drop out of school and get enrolled to a charter school. The charter school that I'll be attending next year will be putting me straight in 9th grade since I had honors classes and did a lot of after school stuff in 7th grade to get enough credits. I basically cheated the school system. xD
