Is nursing school hard?

I never did well in High School will nursing school be too hard??

  • I never did very well in high school. I went to boces for early childhood and I have been working in daycare for about 5 years. Recently I realized I am not happy doing what I do. I also dont like the pay! I love helping others, but I do get a little ozzy with the sight of blood. I have been thinking about going to a community college for nursing. I never did well in high school and Im afraid nursing may be too hard. How hard is it??? and is it ok to feel little ozzy with the sight of blood??

  • Answer:

Starting at a community college, where the work won't be as hard, is a great idea. Take classes in your strengths to see how you do. Then, see what classes you can take to build up your weaknesses. You can test your interest in nursing by talking to others in the field, including your nursing professors. Consider volunteering at a local hospital. Nursing can be done in all sorts of places, so talk to those in the places that interest you most.
