Do you know what Dyslexia is?

  • I am trying to find how many people know what it is. If you know describe it and if you don't just say know i want to find out what present of the people that answer this Truly know what it is. P.S i am dyslexic

  • Answer:

Yes, but if I am wrong please don't be offended. When people with dyslexia misread, they often say a word that has the same first and last letters, and the same shape, such as form-from or trial-trail. they may insert or leave out letters, such as could-cold or star-stair. They may say a word that has the same letters, but in a different sequence, such as who-how, lots-lost, saw-was, or girl-grill.

Yes, Dyslexia is a problem with mixing up numbers and/or letters. Therefore, a person with dyslexia may have problems with reading and writing.

Dyslexia is a problem with reading and/or writing. I doubt you have it because if you can spell Dyslexia you can spell well

One simple answer is that dyslexic people reverse letters in words. They might write "was" for "saw" or read the word "ton" when the correct word is "not." Having dyslexia is not an indicator of intelligence, Albert Einstein was dyslexic I believe, and I'm quite sure, that if if you were to go on-line and search for famous dyslexics, there would be more.

Trouble reading, writing Also, my friend has it and she often spells my name as Kalya when its actually Kayla, even when I tell her how to spell it over and over again. Even though dyslexics aren't the stongest in those areas, they tend to have an intelligence in a different area.

yes, im pretty sure it's a disorder where you have difficulty reading and writing

Sporty2Maxx

dyslexic people have trouble reading and writing because the words they see are often out of order and upside down etc. things also become blurred and words often go missing while they read.

its when you cant see words , they kind of move around and you cant read, you take special classes to help you learn to understand it and focus on what it says

I did this in class but can't remember all but here it goes... it where perception of object is milliseconds slower than so called normal cognitive function. By the time perceive object reach the brain it gets muddled up output from the brain that's why dyslexia comes in different form. Its not only reading but also hearing. People with dyslexia connected to reading, end up writing half a sentence or overlaps the other or letters are confuse by another because of the clash on info. However this does not mean that dyslexic have lack of intelligence. It means the process of information is faster than normal. Proof is that in WAIS test people with dyslexic have high comprehension score usually above average. Its been a while since i studied dyslexia but I think that covers most of it.

It is a neurological disorder, unrelated to intelligence, that effects an individuals ability to identify and differentiate images (including letters and numbers). Hence it is most commonly manifested in difficulty reading. For you it may be evidenced by the use of the word "know" for "no" and "present" for "percent"...although of course improper word use is common in the entire population and is not necessarily indicative of dyslexia.
