What is living on Hamilton Island like?

To those living in the Hamilton area, New Zealand. Good high schools?

• My niece is planning to relocate to Hamilton, New Zealand and would like to know which are the better high schools in Hamilton, New Zealand. She's looking at Hillcrest High School, Hamilton Girls High School, Fraser High School, Melville High School and Sacred Heart Girls College. Could someone recommend a school (in terms of academic performance, performing arts activities) and also (if possible) state the overall environment of the school as well as the availability of transportation services. I would be really thankful for additional details that cannot be found on the Internet. Thanks!

  I'd recommend Hamilton Girls High School :) I was a student at Hamilton Girls High School from Year 9 to Year 13 and i had one of the greatest high school experiences ! And there are plenty of school groups to join such as the Student Council, Sports Council, Drama Club.. The school is going through construction at the moment with a new drama/ music theatre and also, a new gym this year? Its a great environment for a young female to enjoy her high school days and make new friends..Plus, the sporting events such as Athletics Day or Swimming Sports are soo much FUN, where all the students get to dress up in their house colours... One of the greatest aspects about HGHS is the location. Because its based near the city centre, the school is only just around the corner from the Hamilton City Bus Transportation Depot, where majority of the students catch the bus services to get to school everyday...
