How important are sports on my college resume?

What Can I do to help get into a great college...I'm a Junior In High School?

• I'm a Junior in High School SAT-haven't taken but im hoping for at last a 2000 and hopefully a 2100 GPA-unweighted 3.75, weighted-4.3 I am taking 4 Honors Classes This year I play competitive tennis and I'm ranked nationally and highly in my section... this will help me get into a Division III College or a lower level Division I college. I've played on Varsity tennis since I was a freshman Extra Curricular Activities- I formed a program at the Boys and Girls Club in the inner city where I taught children how to play tennis over the summer... this is good for leadership I'm looking to Volunteer for Special Olympics for Tennis I'm a member of DECA Marketing Club, International Microfinance Club, and Keys Club I write sports articles in the school newspaper I want to go to colleges and universities like Georgetown, Bucknell, Emory University, Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Wash U in St. Louis, John Hopkins, NYU, and Tufts University. What else can I do to enhance my resume in order to get into some of the prestigious colleges and universities. Thanks

  You're doing great! The only thing that I can think of is to stay in Honors classes when in High School. Sometimes, depending on the area, there are programs such as AVID or GATE, that also help prepare for college and looks good on paper.
