What classes are important if i want to become a psychiatrist?

How do I manage my high school classes so that I am ready to enter college and become what I want to become?

  • I want to become a language arts teacher for the seventh grade.I was wondering how I could manage my classes right in highschool and still get the classes I like but still be ready to go to college and majoring in the subject I want.

    Take AP English classes, college level writing classes, creative writing, etc, and make sure you do well in them. Ask your teachers what classes they took to help prepare them for their current job. See if your school has an Intro to Education class where you can be a teacher's aide and observe a middle school teacher a couple times a week. Some of my friends did that and really enjoyed it. Also, check out courses offered at a community college and see if you can take some classes there while you're still in high school, or see if your school has dual credit classes. Have fun!

"could manage my classes right in highschool and still get the classes I like" - If you want to get in to a good college, the classes you like may need to take a back seat to the classes you need. Talk to the guidance counselor about your goals. Take the recommended classes.
