Which school is better for a criminal justice degree?

Can you teach high school with a degree in criminal justice?

  • im in high school right now, and i want to major in criminal justice and become a high school teacher, not a college professor. Will i be able to get my teaching degree, and if i can teach, wut subjects will ibe a able to teach? Is it possible to do it all in 4 years?

  • Answer:

You will probably not be able to teach high school with a degree in criminal justice. No Child Left Behind requires that you have a major or its equivalent in the subject you plan to teach. If you had a double major, perhaps in mathematics and criminal justice, then you could be certified to teach mathematics. You might be able to major in broad field social studies and take enough criminal justice courses to also have a criminal justice major. I don't think you could do it all in four years.
