What is an online school?

What do I need to do to get dropped out of school? I was doing online school.?

I had to quit online school after doing it for a year to get a job and help pay bills, so I wasn't going to school for a whole year. Would I need to contact the online school and get papers from them or where do I need to go? Also, am I going to get in any kind of trouble for the year I wasn't in school, I was never notified or mailed anything about it. I'm 17 and live in OH. Thanks

You didn't mention what type of school you were attending online. If you were attending a high school or university online, then you need to contact the admissions office to find out how to quit for now. You would also need to do this if you were attending a vocational or community college as well. However, if you were attending a distance learning school, where you get all your supplies in the mail, then you would have to contact the customer service department to see about requesting a refund.
