Depends on which course you want to do,some uni's look for ucas points which can be gained other ways-extra curricula activities etc. My son is doing A levels in sports and applied science even though he only got a D in science and didn't even do P.E at gcse. He is re-sitting maths, english and gcse science though to cover all options! There are loads of options out there. Good luck to you .

Of couse you can. You could study a whole host of different subjects at NVQ and BTEC. If you don't get the grades that you need to do what you want to do, you can resit one or more of your GCSEs.

With some courses yes but it depends what you want to study. You will need to check with the college.

You can always go to a two-year Community College, and in some ways it is a better option. It costs less than a 4-year college, and in a lot of ways it is easier for a high school student to transition to. And, acceptance at a 4-year college after finishing a year or two at Community College is very high, since you have already proved you can do college work.

Depends which college you go to and what you want to take at college. Each college has specific requirements and on top specific requirements for particular courses. I suggest you make contact with the colleges and ask what they require.

This answer is geared more towards sixth form college than community college. You will be able to get into college with less than 5 A-Cs, however if you are wanting to complete an A Level course most places will usually want you to have at least 4 A-Cs. Colleges that allow you to do A-Levels with this many A-Cs,but don't insist that the subjects in which you have scored A-C are English or Maths, will usually insist that you resit English and Maths so that you exit at the end of your sixth form course with an GCSE A-C in English and Maths. The thing to remember is that if you do want to do A Levels and will have to do resits, but are going to a college other than where you have done your GCSEs, it is a good idea to get/ keep a copy of any coursework you have done so that you can use it for your resit. However if you are picky about the college which you want to go to, then you will need to get decent GCSEs, especially in Maths, English and possibly Science. The thing to remember about GCSEs in these three subjects is that for just about any course you apply for throughout the rest of your life they will ask for these. You might get 20 years down the track and find that you want to do a course but they won't accept you until you have an A-C in these subjects, so it is good idea to get them the first time round.
