How do I become a better student?

How to become a better student?

  • I am in eight grade and used to get 80s-90s. These past months my grades have dropped to 60s. I have basically lost the energy and will to study or do homework. I have arguments with myself about getting my work done sooner rather than later but always never get it done. I tell myself that it's high school that matters and that I'll do better then but the habits I'm creating now may carry on into high school. Unfortunately, no matter how much I tell myself this i still never do my homework. I'm really disappointed with myself and need your advice on how to get myself back into shape school wise.

  • Answer:

You got to do your work and be natural. If you study you also need to feel like you're doing a great job. I advanced so much math in my career from 5th to 6th grade, so maybe you will hit a growth period.

I had the same trouble in high school, but I also had a strict father and a love of sports. I was able to study harder, and finish my homework on time because I understood the consequences if I was unable to keep my grades up, which was ofcourse that I wouldn't be able to play any of the sports I signed up for. It seems a bit odd but set yourself up with a goal, could be anything, but it has to be something that could be prohibited if you don't keep your grades up. Worked for me.

Paying close attention in class can eliminate much study time. You'll already know it.
