How would I transfer my high school credits to another state?

Should high students in military families still get their credits from mvoing state to state?

  • Im a high school student in a military family and when i move to where we were stationed from michigan to washington state i lost credits the first semester because i transfer from a school with only 4 classes to a school to 6 classes. & last year i moved back to michigan, and with both states credit systems being totally different, they didnt recognize alot of my credits. so it set me back a year. so next year i have to do a 5th year of high school....is that fair? is there any websites i can get any information? thanks!

This is really unfair. I don't know what to say about it... being in a military family should not set back your education. That sucks. So... did you lose credits that you already took? Or is it that you simply don't have enough to graduate? They should still recognize your credits, no matter what. I'm sorry, but I don't know of any websites that would help with this. It might be possible to use the military influence part to let the school be more lenient than usual about your credits. One option, though, if you only need a few credits, is online classes over the summer. I don't know exactly how this would work as it appears that you have already completed your senior year, but you might want to talk to your counselors about it as an option to an entire wasted school year.
