Answer:
An arts school usually offers the four main academic classes (math, language arts, science, social studies), but also has artistic classes that pertain to your major. Most of the time a performing arts school has different artistic majors that you can get into the school for (Music, Theater, Visual Arts, Communications, Dance). For example, my class schedule is, 1. Language Arts 2. Instrumental Technique 3. Human Geography 4. Orchestra 5. Biology 6. Music History/Appreciation 7. Geometry As you can see all of my electives are music related, because I am a music major (strings). The vast majority of non-academic electives are usually related to one of the majors. As far as everyday school life, a lot of freedom is usually given to students. No uniforms, no assigned lunch area, etc... Because every student is artistically well rounded in a certain area, the kids and staff are very open-minded. Things like homosexuality, cultural expression, and religious freedom are all allowed with fair and equal treatment. Most performing arts schools have a high expectations and strong academic program. They offer good starting points for getting into college because due to the combination of artistic classes and difficult academic classes, they create well rounded students which colleges oftentimes appreciate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreyfoos_School_of_the_Arts ^^This link is a good example of an performing arts school, and it shows statistics on graduation rates and students who went to college.

Kind of like the same thing but the four core classes there are usually easier or harder. Then we mostly focus on one of arts that we major in. Pretty easy actually Hope that helps
