If a person has a high school diploma does that person has a better chance of getting a job than a non high?

yes...employers would rather have the person with a better education. it means that they had the diligence and work ethic to finish highschool. if you can't finish high school they don't know whether you can handle the job or not.

yes because they know that you have more experience.. and if you graduated and ur trying to work like at a good store or something as a cashier. then they know you would be better at math than someone who didnt graduate.. idk thats just me..

I think it probably depends on the job, but overall yeah, I'd say the graduate would be more likely to get the job. It may not necessarily be true of the two candidates, but typically employers will see the person with the diploma as more likely to finish what they started, be able focus toward specific goals, and more knowledgable.

Of course the high school diploma is a benefit. There are a number of good reasons why someone wouldn't attend college, but not to finish High School is a choice - and a bad one at that. The diploma says that you can at least finish something that is required of you - and that you have basic knowledge and understanding. sometimes the school you attended can help - maybe the employer went there,etc.

Yes and somewhere on the Internet are the stats for what a drop out earns, what a high school grad earns and what a college grad earns. The differences are significant. Dropouts face significant problems getting and keeping jobs. They often encounter huge periods of unemployment. There is significant competition for low level jobs from illegal immigrants who always seem to have an excellent work ethic. What I tell my kids is that it is better to spend four years getting the degree than 40 years working at a lower salary. There is a steep price to be paid for a lack of education. For people who are not interested in education, I suggest getting a two year college degree or enroll in a certificate program. Graduates of these programs often make much more money. In some programs, you can take one course at a time rather than being a full-time student. This makes life much more palatable. Sometimes, you can take the most important courses first and get a job in your chosen field. When you get to pick your course of study, it is much more interesting in high school. Don't let the boredom of high school put you off from continuing your education.
