Do I have to take AP world?

What should I take? mandarin or ap world history?

  • I'm in 9th grade. I can only have one of these classes and also if i don't take ap world history then i take regular world history and if i don't take mandarin then i take spanish.

    take the ap world history, its soo worth it and its a great class if you have a good teacher. just watch out for ap questions they're worded really weird like every option is right but you have to find the most correct. and i will never forget this question "Shintoism is_______" thats not even a question?!?! wth but anyways take its so worth it and if you pass depending which college you go to they may accept it for college credit so you cant lose anything here. why would you take a language that you probably wont run into anyone speaking unless you're in China (its mandarin chinese right?). take spanish it will be far more useful if you're here in the states and is really valuable when you start looking for a job since employers always seem to want people who are bilingual

Definitely Mandarin. It may seem hard but the writing actually has logic to it and the language has one of the most simple pronunciations and grammar in any language in the world. Only 46 possible pronunciations for a syllable or some low number like that. I highly recommend it. Not to mention business opportunities! You can pick it up really quickly. After a year of studying it I can already hold a very decent and understandable conversation.

ap world history it helps 2 get into collge.. but in the end of the school year u have 2 take a test .. n wen i took it way back ony 2 people passed in the whole grade so idk but it still helps

I would take AP World History. I am currently a freshman as well and I have been in school for about 2 weeks. I am taking AP and even though it is hard, it is still a great class to take. Hope you enjoy whatever you take!!

There are a lot of Mandarin people visiting USA so I say Mandarin

World history will be more interesting. As far as the Language, Spanish is cool. Especially in some states. For example if you live in California, and you know Spanish, then you get jobs way faster then others and you get paid more too. Because there is such a high Latino population here. I assume the same would be for Florida, Texas and some other states.

I'd recommend that you take AP world history. I'm a junior currently and I'm taking AP U.S. history and AP psych.AP classes are better to take because they look really good on a college transcript plus if you pass the AP test at the end you get college credit from the course.

Take the AP History because taking AP classes and then taking the associated AP tests for them sometimes allows you to skip a quarter or semester of that similar class in college. I took AP Trig and AP Calculus and they prepared me for the AP Calculus test. I got a 4 on it and was allowed to skip a semester of Calculus in college. Besides, depending on where you live I have a hard time seeing Mandarin helping you out in the States. I live in CA and I know that Spanish would really help out.

jesus!! a freshmen taking ap good job dude take ap world history itll look better on ur transcript u could take 3 years foreign language later but try to free up some more classes to take mandarin
