What is Priestley's social message in 'an inspector calls?

"An Inspector Calls" By J.B Priestley - Coursework HELP?!?

  • 1) How is the theme of time used in the play and explored by the Inspector? 2) Is the Inspector believable in the language he uses? 3) What is the influence the Inspector has on the other characters and the action of the play? 4) Does the Inspector really seem believable as a real inspector? THANKYOU - Can you please if so explain in detail. thanks =)

  • Answer:

It shows that as time passes he gets older and this directly impinges on the plot line. Not for me. The way he is written, he controls the action of the others. Ok, but not spectacular. I'm hoping this is detailed enough.
