How can i not look stupid on my first day of freshman year in highschool?
-
I know how everyone says that they hate freshmen because we think were so cool and all. But this is the opposite kind of impression i want to give off. Im not going to try to "glam it up" like some ppl on this site r saying. That would just make me look like im trying too hard. I just want tips from juniors-seniors. Tell me what irritates you the most about freshmen. I just dont wanna look stupid. Anyone?

Answer:
You don't need to worry about looking stupid or anything else on your first day of high school. Every single person in the incoming freshman class is just as uncomfortable as you and worrying about the same things. It's a terrifying experience. The best advice I've ever gotten from anybody is "Be yourself," as simple and cliche as it is.

well, i'm going to be a freshman aswell, and these are the "freshman rules" that i'm going by; --don't wear a hollister top with hollister jeans, hollister flip flops and a hollister bag. that just has freshman written all over it. --dont wear a hollister too, abercrombie and fitch shorts, roxy shoes and a DC bag. total wanna-be-freshman. --dont act like your soo cool cause your in highschool. your still the youngest in the school. --dont try to make friends with the seniors. if they want to be your friend, they will approach YOU. and if they do want to be your friend, dont be clingy. or say stuff like; "my SENIOR friend.. blah blah blah" --dont be fake. --dont be a biiitch. :/ --dont wear too much makeup. but, if you do... make sure it looks NICE. not trampy. thats all i got. :) GOOD LUCK!

all u have to do is wear a tight t-shirt and some sweet kicks and ur set, and don't anwser questions in class or ask questions unless their funny. Besides that just stay out of peoples business and check out all the girls ...if one of them looks hot dont be afraid to ask her out on a date! balla

First of all, don't try to be something you're not. It's pretty obvious when freshmen are trying to act all cool, but have a total lack of confidence. That's the worst thing you can do is not have any confidence. Be confident in yourself and you'll be fine. Know who your real friends are and stick with them. Trying to fit into a group you think is cool is the number 1 way to lose all your friends. Don't be nervous. Be confident, and have fun. You'll find friends. When I was a freshman I was making friends with sophomores and juniors easily. Because I never acted like a hot shot. Just be yourself. You only look stupid if you act stupid.

please, don't worry about high school. i was a frosh last year. everyone acted totally cool it's not as scary as you think or as dramatic. no one bullies freshmen or throws them in lockers just be yourself! hang out with your friends, play it cool no one will bother you as long as you're a nice person usually the freshmen have seperate halls and classes so just chillax at the end of freshmen year you will totally think it's boring.

well, don't do anything outlandish when you're introducing yourself and don't try yo be someone else and just hang out with the people you get along with and not the "cool people" even though it's a stereotype, the cool people are actually jerks sometimes.and the upperclassmen aren't really going to do anything to you unless you piss them off by being cocky, but i've only had one guy do that. hope this helps

The best way to adapt to the high school scene is to be yourself, watch how others act and respond to each other, find those in the freshmen arena that like the same things you do by asking them questions. From there you may get many ideas on events, clubs, etc. that you would like to join in on. Attend the meetings for the events, clubs, etc., then make your decision which you'd like to be associated with. Soon you'll have a handle on where, what, when and how to assimilate into the freshmen status and have many friends/acquaintances who will be there for you too. Good luck, best wishes and enjoy this year. It is one of a few that you'll remember well, so make the most of it.
