What science is the best to take your junior year of high school?
-
I was looking through my scheduling guide and was surprised to see how many choices I have for my next science class! I'm a sophomore taking Alg/2 Trig and Chem this year, and very confused. I want to know what class is the best to take for a great long-lasting career, is interesting enough to keep up, and won't bog me down with tons and tons of homework. The Choices Are: Chem (H), Anatomy & Phys/ Anatomy&Phys (H) or AP Bio, AP Environmental Science, Oceanography, Physics/Physics (H) Thank you so much!

Answer:
Anat and Phys is a very interesting and many times in highschools you get to disect things, Im not quite sure if you are into that, but it is mainly just memorizing parts of the body. Chem and Physics are both really tough courses, but if you get the right teacher they can be very interesting. Oceanography is also a very interesting course. But i think i still recommend Anat. and Phys.

depends on what you are planning to major in when you go to college. AP BIO was very interesting to me it takes biology to the next level. Anatomy and Physiology also is very good if your looking into a medical career, there is a lot of memorisation involved but you learn a lot about the human body. Good Luck!

Science all has its ups and downs. If you are looking at what would benefit you for college. Nothing really, they dont look at what you took, just what your grades were. Chemistry is harder, but you will learn it and wont have such a hard time later in life. The way I look at it, highschool is free.... take advantage of learning the most you can while its free. If you take an AP class it might also carry over as a college credit.

All depends on what it is you want to do when you leave school!

First, check with the schools you're thinking about applying for college. If you have already fulfilled all their science requirements, then pick whichever class you find most interesting. If they prefer you take certain classes over others, I'd take one of those. Also, see if they offer college credit for a good score on the AP Bio or AP Environmental Science exams. If so, take one of those--as long as you think you are prepared for the work loads. All in all, I'd say take whichever class you will find most interesting, you can do your best at, and which helps you the most in your college search.

i agree with Vee oceanography or environmental science would be the best choices.

your choice should depend on what career you have chosen for yourself. i want to be a doctor so i took anatomy and physiology and it was a great class, i loved it. it all depends on what you want in the end.
