It varies by the level of the student. Some high achieving students will have already taken algebra 1 and geometry in middle school and start 9th grade with algebra 2 and then take pre-calc in 10th grade. Some lower achieving students take algebra over a two year span in 9th and 10th grade, then take geometry in 11th grade.

Hard ones... especially for me cause I've got discalculia. I took Algebra my first year and Geometry my second year and Geometry was super easy though. Then in 11th grade I took Algebra 2/Trig... That was the last time i ever took a math class.

In my school, freshman take algebra 1, sophomores take geometry, juniors take algebra 2, and seniors have the option between precalculus and algebra 3.
