Good wheeled backpack for middle school?
-
I'm looking for a good, sturdy, but ok looking backpack. I'm going into 8th grade, so I'll have quite a lot of books. I'm looking for a roller/wheeled backpack for a good price (aka 60- with shipping and handling) help, please?

Okay, I have the same situation. Small school, 'everyone' has rolling backpacks on account of the heavy course load. Well, I hate to break it to you, but cheap rolling backpacks don't work all that well. You need to invest in a higher priced, higher quality backpack and it will pay off in the long run. My friend got a $120 Swiss Army (available at Target) rolling backpack, and it has worked fine for her through middle school. However, I chose the 'more popular' tote from Roxy. It worked *great,* very sturdy (black and pink plaid) until I accidentally left a Clementine Cutie in the pocket, which made the entire thing smell horrible. So, since we already spent a hefty sum on the tote, we went with the cheaper rolling backpack option, a $60 generic rolling backpack. It broke in a few weeks. Then, deciding we needed a better quality one, but not quite so expensive, we got an $80 I-forget-the-brand rolling backpack. It broke this year. Now I rely on my tote bag I got from Two Harbors - Catalina Island for $25. It has lasted me the rest of the year and shows no sign of deterioration. In conclusion, spend a good sum of money on a high quality rolling backpack, or just purchase a study tote. My totes have lasted me plenty long and aren't that heavy if you carry your binder by hand.

If you want a wheeled backpack, get a wheeled backpack. I personally wouldn't do it, but to each their own. Don't listen to what these other people are saying - apparently the lot of them are conceited; do what you want. If a rolling backpack is more comfortable/easier for you, then get one.

I would suggest not getting a rolling backpack because they don't fit into lockers very well and annoy the hell outta people in the halls.
