Who felt that the AP Calculus AB and BC 2007 were hard?

It was the most rediculous thing ever. The free response! so much harder than any practice ones I had done, I didn't even know how to approach most of them!! I'm going to be laugh in July when I see my score

I just took the BC Exam today, and i thought it was horrible. Well, the multiple choice was actually not that bad, but the free response was beyond difficult. A lot of people at my testing center thought the same thing. I heard that the AB test was pretty bad too. It's good to know that people across the country are thinking the same way. The free-response questions seemed so obscure that the collegeboard has to give a pretty generous curve. I heard the average passing grade for a 5 is around a 65%, but I think this year they will dip it to around 60%. Let's hope it's even lower!!!

yea...calc AB multiple Q's were alright, but the FRQ were hard.....i have taken the past 11 years of the ap exam for practice, starting from 1996 and those FRQ were way easier than the ones from yesterday.....ppl at my skoo had trouble too, with the FRQ....i was able to manage #6, which was solve for K(IM me if u wanna know).....n wat the hell happened to slope field, and implicit differentiation ?...i was so ready for those.....oh well, hope i pass.....ps.good to know my skoo wasnt the only one who had trouble....

My school "is not dumb" either and I have a pretty good teacher and I thought the AP Calc AB was really hard too! The multiple choice for the most part were fair; I even finished the non-calculator MC 10 mins early. But starting from the third free-response onward, it was a total *****! My class had done some practice free response questions from the last few years and they all seemed to follow a specific pattern, but this one was completely different! And other local schools thought the same.

The last few years' exams were most definately easier. Seeing that everyone found the free response really hard, the grading curve will go down as well. The mean score will probably stay around 3 too.

Agreed. The mc was fairly easy but the free response were pretty difficult. People in my room actually started laughing in a nervous way 10 or 15 minutes into the free response.

I took the AB and I felt it was pretty hard, although the volume/area problem was really easy the rest ranged from medium to extremely hard. I don't think that its that people didn't prepare its that the exam was genuinely hard, our teacher made us do every free response question he found and the FR questions this year I believe were harder and written in a different style than those before. Some of the problems had parts that seemed like a whole FR question in past years.

yea i took the bc exam & i'm a sophomore too....mc was all extremely easy, especially compared to past years but i'm less sure about my fr..i mean the q's weren't THAT hard but i had no time to check any of my answers! but at least i finished everything..
