Answer:
my freshman orientation was: a tour given by upperclassmen--you're put in a group of 10-20 kids and 1 junior or senior walks you around the high school and tells you what all the classrooms are, which water fountains are cold, etc. a talk by the principal/vice principal, welcoming you to the school and encouraging you to work hard and not put yourself in trouble later in high school because you didn't work hard freshman year someone generally gets up and talks about the clubs/sports at the school you go around and find your locker and try opening it you may or may not meet some of your teachers--some may be in their classrooms when you walk by on the tour you might have lunch, it depends on the school that's pretty much it! good luck, and don't worry!

For mine two years ago, we didn't have a tour. We just went to all our classes and just got use to the people. It varys with schools WHAT they do on oreintation days, but, it's a VERY chilled day! It's really good schools do this for students because it helps so much! Just have fun and try to make new friends. I made friends with people in Freshmen year that I never met before because they were in a different crew then me in Middle School. ANd I'm still really good friends with them! So, High School is awesome and you'll love it much better then Middle School!

Ummm from what I can remember from mine, we just basically were told what the expectations of us were, the rules of conduct, stuff like that. We got a tour and at my school you could choose to venture off on your own or you could have a guided tour (and the guide was one of the older students involved in the leadership program). I dont know how awkward that would be, just talking randomly to someone at an assembly and you have nothin to talk about. I would probably save that for the first day of classes.

well, when i went to my freshman orientation, 2 years back, there were some upperclass men there to help us find our homerooms and junk. The we got a tour of the school from a upperclass man/girl. After it was the assembly, then we got to leave. it was kinda cool.

typically it starts with a welcoming speech from the principal then at my school you get to watch an improv troupe (comedy performance) parody the common freshman fears. Then they break you up into smaller groups where you are assigned to an upperclassman who will give you a tour of the school pointing out your particular classes and your locker. You will be able to ask the upperclassman any questions you have, don't be afraid that's what they're there for. There are also tables set up to get information about clubs or sign up for them. Best of luck
