Please help me help my 7th grade son with homework?

  • i need a free homework help site especcailly for math! My son is in 7th grade and the problem says to write this number in scientific notation, 6,446,000,000 it says the worlds population was over 6,446,000,000 and was increasing by 140 people each minute write this population down. I am not sure how to help him as there is no example for me to look at. Please help? I really need some free homework help sites for junior high so i can write and ask for help or se examples of how to do things to help him, he has add and is challenged with math especially. takes us hours to do simple homework.Thank you.

    I don't have any sites but I'll try to help. Ok I'm a freshman and were doing this stuff and here's an example 1 find the scientific notation of 40,000 so you count over till you get to a number besides zero and times it by ten. So it would be 4x10 to the 4th. So the answer to the one up there woul be 644.6x 10 to the seventh. Hope I helped
