How can I finish my homework without getting distracted?

How do you stop yourself from getting distracted when you do homework?

  • I always find myself doing other things and it wastes time!! Please help? I'm at college now, and i'll be getting lots of work.

    Make up a study schedule, which designates times when you will be studying. Find a quiet place to study away from all distractions. Don't listen to music or be around others who may talk to you. Make sure you do your chores at other times so they won't lure you away from your studying. Focus on your REASONS for wanting an education, such as a career goal. When you have a clearcut goal, you will want to do what is necessary to reach it.

Go upstairs into your room and make sure that you dont have music on or a laptop or anything in your room that you will play on or get distracted by. Then convince yourself that you have to do it tonight because you will be getting more tomorrow and then start it and dont quit until you finish

Keep a notepad and pencil next to you. When something else you need to do comes into your head, jot it down on the notepad to do later. That will stop you going to do it straight away in case you forget. This works when worries interrupt getting to sleep too.

focus on what u wanna read and try ur best to read aloud.... don't hesitate to read aloud that someone will make fun of u.... u may close ur room door and read aloud.... this is the ever best method according to me.... hope it will help u concentrate on ur reading..... Happy reading...

Go somewhere so dull that your work becomes fascinating. Does your college library have a silent study room? For me an hour in one of those can be worth three trying to work at home.
