How do I become more motivated?

How can I become more motivated to complete homework and study?

  • It's Sunday and I've been telling myself all day that I would study and work on my book report. Well... I haven't. How can I become more motivated?

  • Answer:

    Turn off the computer - it's the biggest distraction for you currently and go and sat it a boring room where the most interesting thing is your book report. Remember, your education is number 1 in your life right now - without it, how can you succeed in life?

Well for me my zia AKA aunt told me that she would take me to mexico so everytime i dont have time to watch t.v or go on computer i just remind meself of mexico maybe make your parents a deal that if you do all homework study get straight a`s that maybe you can go on a trip or give u money (my mom gives me 10$ every A and 5$ every B) something else that motivates me is knowing that one day i can be a sucessful doctor or teacher knowing that i can support my family or that i dont have to worry about money because if i was working at sears or macdoanlds you cant support or family or youself on just that hope i helped :D

I feel your pain! I have been telling myself all day i will study for my vocab test I have tomorrow but instead I am on the computer! But seriously my dad is going quiz me after supper but this is how I study... I set my timer for 15 minutes. I then study WITHOUT STOPING for that period of time! And then when that time is up I take a 5 minute break (i.e. go to the bathroom... take a short walk... get a drink... get a snack... whatever as longs as you are back in 5 minutes... no later then 10 minutes... if it helps set the timer)! Then do this continusly until it is done!

it helps me to set aside time to study. such as i will do my book report from 6-8 tonight or whatever. you need to get good grades to go to college and trust me it may not seem important now but it is in the long run.

im exactly like you. i would wait till the very last minute....i just finished my homework like a couple hours ago, just go to a quite and clean place. where no one iz at..then just do your h/w

me too...i should be cleaning. i have no clean clothes and i'm doing everything humanly possible to avoid doing it.

think of it this way... if u keep putting it off then u could fail and have to do the whole year again... or maybe u want to be free some other day so finish it today
