Persuasive Speech Topic?

Is my speech topic a good 'persuasive' topic ?

• My speech topic for grade 8, is going to be the influences of media on body image, would this be a good idea ? yes, no ? is it persuasive ? if not, anything in the same area thats better ?

• Answer:

  It largely relies on whether or not you can make it persuasive. As long as you have a clear argument, that comes down firmly on the "no bad influence" or "bad influence" (or whatever). Remember to consider opposing views too. But, to me, it is an appropriate subject to talk about for a persuasive speech.
