How can you find the radius from knowing the circumference of a circle?

    The first answerer gave you Pi r squared, which is to find the AREA of the circle. the 2pi(r) is the correct formula.

Circumference of a circle is pi * diameter 0r pi * 2 radius (the diameter is twice the radius) so c = 2 pi r 56 = 2 ( 3.14) r r = 56 /2 (3.14) r = 8.92 Sometimes they do not want you to use 3.14 for pi. They just want you to leave that symbol. Then the answer would be r = 56 / 2/pi r = 28/ pi

the radius is half of the circumference, therefore the radius is 28.

well, c=pi(r)^2 so you just plug in what you know! 56=3.14r^2 divide by pi. 17.83=r^2 then you just find the square root of 17.83 and that's the radius! and please, don't let them tell you that the radius is half the circumfrence. the radius is half the diameter lol.

Diameter x pi = circumference Radius= diameter/2 For example - if the circumference was 15.7 15.7 cm = 3.14 · 15.7 cm ÷ 3.14 = = 15.7 cm ÷ 3.14 = 5 cm diameter or 2.5 radius so, in your case it is 56mm divided by 3.14= diameter of 17.83 divide that by 2 for the radius of approxiamtely 8.917
