Can you help me with European history?

I have to write 2 paragraphs on Black History Month! Can you please help??

  • I have started my 2nd paragraph...Just need a few lines to end! Black History Month started in the United States in 1926. February is the Black History Month because it was the birth month of both Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. Since 1916, Americans have recognized Black History first as "***** History Week" and then as Black History Month. Some famous Civil Right leaders were Linda Brown, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr, Harriet Tubman, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, etc… It wasn’t until the 20th century that that they gained a respectable presence in the history books. Carter G. Woodson after conceiving the Association for the Study of ***** Life and History in 1915, believed that publishing history about the black race would prove to the world that Africa and its people had played a crucial role in the development of civilization.

    What you written is just fine. The only thing you might want to add is what is occurring on Yahoo now with the use of your words being blotted out. Funny though, the Yahoo sponsored links still contains the word, must be an error some where.

Your sentence about civil rights leaders seems out of place. The topic is Black History month. So you might want to replace it with: This is a time, when people recognize noted African Americans and civil rights leaders such as Linda Brown, Frerick Douglas, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., etc. Then follow it with: It wasn't until the 20th. century that noted figures such as these gained..... Then finish you last paragraph, by saying that the month is a time for people to remember black history and share it with young people. You can wordsmith it yourself.
