How do redcross/water aid make clean water?

im doing a project for school and need a simple step by step of how they doit?

Answer:
There are a lot of ways to purify water, and it looks like the Red Cross and Water Aid use a combination of them. The goal for the Red Cross and for Water Aid is to ensure that people have clean drinking water, and there are just a bunch of ways to try to reach that goal. The Red Cross doesn't seem to have a lot of information about specific techniques at their web site, but Water Aid does. http://www.wateraid.org/international/what_we_do/sustainable_technologies/default.asp
