How should i start my reasearch paper?

I would find a really good story about animal cruelty - one that shows in no uncertain terms how horrible it is and start with a rendition of that story- then go into the examples and etc's after that.

Why don't you do it yourself instead of asking others to do your work for you?

A research paper is different than an essay. A research paper does not begin with a quote. A research paper begins with a short summary of your completed research. This short summary is called an abstract. You use the abstract to intrigue the reader to continue reading your paper. This is the order of writing the one-paragraph-in-length abstract. It will take up less than 1/4 typed page, with lines single spaced. 1) State your motivation for selecting animal cruelty as your topic. Present a statement, not a quote, of the of the problem of animal cruelty. End with your statement of why you care about the problem, and what practical gap your research fills. 2) In 1-3 sentences, outline your research methods and procedures that you actually used in your research to get your results. 3) State your findings as a result of the above procedure (#2) Then state what you learned. 4) End with your conclusions and implications: what are the larger implications of your findings, for the problem identified in # 1 post script: the abstract is also the outline of your report's four sections i. Your reasons and goal ii. ie: Who you interviewed, what you read, where you went and what you saw iii. ie: Your questions, their answers; details of what you saw/heard, what you learned from the experience iv. Your conclusions about the issues you found in/with animal cruelty and the "big picture" (going back to #1) You will have a very good paper.

A quote is always a great way to start a paper, but if you cannot find a quote, start with some infor about animal cruelty and give some background information about it. Unless of course, the paper is on the history of animal cruelty. Introduce the reader to the topic and try to gain their interest.
