How to build a clientele as a hairstylist?

As a Hairstylist how much should booth rent be if I dont have much clientele?

• I currently work in a hair salon and i pay my boss a % of what i make. so if I make $60 ill pay her $20. However now my boss is now teling me that she wants me to pay booth rent weekely, reguardless if i work that week or not. I am on the fence about this because I dont have much clientele and if i am paying booth rent i would be paying more money than I make working there. The hair salon is a very small salon and it dosent have hardley any walk-in clients. so im not making money the days that I come to work unless I help assist. ALSO i ususally only work on Saturdays when I do come to work, so I only work 1 day out of the week. I just feel like shes trying to rip me off. Should i try to come up with something with her for like a daily booth rent. Ive done that before and I paid 30 dollars to work the whole day in a salon. Oh and she doset provide anything for me. Im responsible for getting all my supplies and things like that. What should I do??????
