How to find stuff to resell on EBAY?

Where can i find large quantites of hot items so i can sell them on ebay?

  • I want to sell stuff on ebay and hopefully make some serious cash. I know that alot of people buy hot-selling stuff in large quantities and are able to resell them for really cheap yet make lots of profit. Where is somewhere that I can buy these large quantities of hot selling stuff for really cheap? (Like 100$ or less, more if you cant find nothing else)

With Respect, I have to disagree with Rick on this one. It is very easy to make money with ebay, and yes you do have to know whats hot and whats not. Alot of people will not tell you their drop shipping sources or where to buy the itmes to resell because they do not want the competition. I actually teach people how to make money from ebay and they do pretty good. The one thing I can tell you without giving away the secrets is to make sure you have a tax ID in your state and try and find a good drop shipping source for your products. As far as salehoo, I think their products are way over used on ebay and will be hard to compete with the big sellers selling the same thing... My best advice is to find your niche and stick with it Good Luck

Note sure why you would start selling on Ebay anymore. You make it sound so easy and it is not easy at all and it is not a easy cash cow as you describe. Ebay is moving tword fixed sales and with the new feedback and fee changes are forcing out many small sellers. A month ago Ebay changed the feedback system so that small sellers who get non positive feedback can very quickly be limited/paypal suspended. Any ebay user must maintain a 95% feedback rating per month or their account is seller limited and paypal payments are frozen for 90 days. Thus if you sell a few auctions in a month and get 4 feedbacks and one is only a neutral then you account is frozen because your 'positive' rating is only 75%. This system is suppose to protect buyers but what it really is doing is the opposite by forcing out small sellers. A large seller who gets 200 feedbacks a month still gets 10 negatives for screwing buyers and still be ok while the small seller as described who gets one neutral gets the shaft. So, sell at your own risk and be prepared to loose money, get ripped off and to bend over backwards to try to get a positive feedback from your buyer. Also note that the change only allows the seller to give positive feedback to the buyer. The seller cannot give neg or neutrals anymore so if a buyer ripps you off you cannot give non positive feedback so they do not get limited as stated above. So, sell at your own risk but beware you are in for a hard road

Good luck wih your business on eBay! A very good source of information on dropshippers and wholesalers is Worldwide Brands. They are a membership site that researches companies that want to supply products to people like yourself to sell. They have a very good reputation with eBay. They also provide lots of ongoing training to get your business going well and financially stable. There's lots of companies that do this sort of research for you, Worldwide Brands makes it simple. There's a website that shows charities how to select products to sell on eBay, and they have info on Worldwide Brands. The site is called listcharity.com. It may be helpful for you. Bottom line - do a lot of research and inform yourself. Go with education, not emotion. Good luck!

It is quite possible to make a decent living off eBay, but you have to know what you're doing. There are no quick and easy shortcuts, or everyone would be making a fortune on eBay. You need to (1) chose a product that is in demand, (2) know your product extremely well, (3) have a source to purchase that product at a very good price, (4) know the marketplace for your product, (5) know where you can fit into that market, and (6) be able to sell your product at a competitive price on eBay, yet (7) still assure yourself of an adequate profit for your effort. It's not easy to get started, as you can see, but if you get all the pieces to fit properly, it can be very lucrative.

Honestly... I use a wholesaler known as salehoo, and to be honest, they're got pretty damn good deals. If you want to look at their site and see some of the products, you can read more about them and sign up here: http://www.squidoo.com/Money-Making-On-Ebay- For example: I can buy a Sony Ericsson W910 cell phone for $282.95, and RE-sell it on ebay for $415 or so (give or take)..that's about $130 PROFIT from one single item. Um, off the top of my head, some OTHER things you can on there for wholesale are Gucci Sunglasses, Cell phones, Yes London Jeans, PS3's, psps and a HECK of alot more! Anyways, I won't bore you with the fine details here, I talk about that, and give a link to my supplier in my article here: http://www.squidoo.com/Money-Making-On-Ebay- Check it out, let me know what you think, and good luck! :-) Jeff

Watch the way you use the phrase "Hot Items" This used to mean "Stolen". You could check out some of the yard sales in your area, look in the newspaper for yard sales in the rich sections of town.
