Starting a not for profit organization?

Advice on starting a non-profit organization???

• I am 23 years of age and wanted to start up a non-profit organization, for abadoned and homeless girls. This organization is to provide a new start for the girls that are homesless or have been abadoned, girls that have the opportunity to become the women that God intended them to be. So can anyone advise me or instruct me in the righ path on establishing this dream, for many girls out their. The fundings for the start up is a short, and need resource on gaining the fundings to further me with the organization. Thank u

  I have worked in the nonprofit sector for 8 years. I also help people to start their own nonprofits. The first thing you must do is develop a clear and concise business plan. It is the blueprint of your nonprofit and it is also how the government or any other funder would actually visualize the kind of organization you want to create. You can visit the small business bureau website to see what needs to be put into your business plan. You may also have a local organization called SCORE. They assist people with writing business plans as well. Check with the Chamber of Commerce for other local agencies that may offer assistance.
