Sell something that people actually want at a good price.

Also good descriptions, don't leave people wondering what they'd be getting.

Good rating is the key.

have a low starting price but make sure you have a reserve so that if its goes too cheap you dont have to sell it also have a catchy title write in CAPS LOCK see it stands out more and say something like BARGAIN or like MUST L@@K good luck and happy bidding lol.

Always include pictures. Also the more description you have about an item the more hits you will get. For instance if you are selling a Ralph Lauren Jean Skirt. Describe it like this "Ralph Lauren denim jean skirt size 10 knee length jeans" When people type in what they are looking for ebay will pull up everything with the words they requested. Some one may call a jean skirt jean while some call in denim. Also if you put jeans in there someone looking for a pair of jeans may see your skirt and even though they were not looking for one like it. Also try starting the price at like $1-5 dollers people will look at it more if the price is lower to start with. Hope that helps, e-bay is a great way to make extra money! :)

I have to agree, it is all in the presentation. The more professional your page looks, the greater number of bids you will receive. This is because people tend to trust those sellers more that actually look as if they care about the products they are selling. The more information and visualization you can give to your product the better your sales. Make a template for you eBay pages, one that you can reuse and edit according to various products. Include colored frames to create borders and separate the information and pictures you are presenting.

If you offer a return policy of some sort that will tend to get more bids. People these days are wary of buying certain things off Ebay due to fakes and shady dealings. Also, most bids will come in the last few hours of an auction. Most all of my auctions don't get bid on until the last day and then most of the bids come in the last few hours. So don't get discouraged when a few days have passed and your item has no bids. Having a good description and title will allow for more people to find your item. If you are selling clothes, make sure to include both men's and guy's or women's and ladie's words in the description.
