I want to sell my fur products, but I can't find buyers..I've tried ebay but no luck...?
-
I am able to buy real fur jackets, blankets, pelts, hats, bags, etc for thousands less than what they are normally sold for in the states. I've tried posting some of these things on ebay, but no one will buy them. (My feedback is also only a 3...I've only just started using ebay for selling) I don't like the idea of real fur, but I am in a special situation where I know I can make a really good profit from selling these things. I just don't know how else to go about selling this stuff. I KNOW there is way to make money from this situation, but I'm just not seeing it. Any suggestions as to how I can make money selling this stuff, or at least WHERE or HOW to sell? Thanks

Answer:
Yes, selling on EBAY generally cheapens the value of your products because there is such a big opportunity to scam people. What I suggest is renting a small store front and creating a boutique. Attract highend customers with you highend products and your new highend look. What you may also do is contact several department store chains and try to sell them you quality merchandise. If you need funding, then take a day to sit down and write out a business plan. Tell potential investors that you have a source for real furs at a cheap price. You want to sell them at retail value. Tell them who your customers will be and how you will advertise to them. Plan out what you want to charge per fur, how fast you think you might be able to sell them, and how much expenses you will incur from rent, utilities, and such. If you're looking to do something easy, then (shrugging) stick with EBAY.

Go for cities! New York City has loads of people who wear fur. A reason you may be having trouble though is becuase it isnt as cold anymore most places...plus people who buy nice fur products often want the fittings, customization, ect. good luck

Try Canada, or Russia, it is a lot colder there, and people are not so sensitive about wearing dead animals

EBay is a good idea. The key to using such a service is to have good pictures and accurate descriptions. If I look at an auction and there's no picture or the picture is poor quality then I can't be sure what I'm getting and I probably won't bid on the item. Invest in a good digital camera and take the highest-resolution/largest photos that you can and use them for your auctions. Good luck!
