Anyone know how I would be able to start, from the ground up, a computer repair business?

I don't know anything about how to start a business and want to at least learn, if not employ, how to do so. This is in the state of California and I am a legal resident of the US with a Canadian citizenship, if that might matter. So where do I go? What do I do? What to I register, what do I fill out for the government? Anything and everything you guys can give me. :)

There is a yahoo group computerbusiness, that deals with those very issues. Go to Yahoo Groups and search for computerbusiness

You mean computer hardware repair business. Just forget about it because there is no money in it. Computers get outdated every single month and when an old computer damaged no body try fix it. They just trash it and buy another one. If they have get some important data(these days nobody keeps) then just remove hard disk from old system and transfer the data to new hard disk. I did the same.
