How do I get in contact with purchasing agents to sell food products to grocery stores?

I have recently become an independant sales rep for a beef jerky company

My suggestion would be to google the companies that you're targetting and look for the purchasing departments. If the grocery stores are individually operated, I'd suggest that you simply visit them and try to sell that way.
