Has anyone actually been successful in an "at home business?

Does anyone know how to build a network and be successful in a home based business? Please advise.?

  • The key to any homebased business is a network. I would like to know how to build a substantial network to promote my business.

  • Answer:

The best advice I can give you is to buy a copy of "Endless Referrals" by Bob Burg That book will tell you EXACTLY what you need to do to build a first class personal network of people that you can work with to mutually serve each other in building their business and yours. After Bob Burg, I would also recoomend Ivan Misner, and there are many others. One of the best ways to get started is to visit several BNI meetings in your area. There are many other groups that you could join to benefit your business and the people at your local Chamber of Commerce can probably put you in touch with many of them. Good luck

In April, I joined an industry leader in health and wellness. I am very pleased with the company. I don't have to carry inventory as the customer orders directly from the company. I don't have to bother friends and family as the company gets the customer for me through their infomercials. It is not a get rich quick scheme, but it will grow for you, I started with 37 customers, I now have 165. They have ongoing weekly training sessions on how to get more customers from other sources other than the infomercials. They offer a great commission rate, 70% on a new customer's first order and 21% after that. I am not permitted to put the link here but if u email me, I will be glad to forward it to you, no obligation.

It really depends on what you are marketing. The best way is to surround yourself with that type of person or go places where this type of person might hang out. For instance, what helps my business is surrounding myself with mothers that are not aware that most of the products in their home are toxic to them and their children and that they cause diseases. So I talk to mothers where ever I go or put ads in baby magazines. As an example. Jennifer
