How long should I wait to contact a prospective employer after the interview?

Help! Future employer I applied for has stood me up Twice on my interview. Should I contact Corporate?

• Ok here is my situation!! I was head of security for a Furniture store based in Atlanta Ga. This was a family owned and operated store, but do to the economy slugging , the owner told all of the staff he had decided to close down in July.. This is back in March. So I started to hustle, looking for a new job. Due to the fact that I'm a single dad of 2 kids. I needed something fast. Even with less pay, until I could find a better job. Well, due to having a strong history in Security. I started to go into department stores, Kohls's, Macys, No luck . I hit walmart, and personally spoke to the head of security there.. She told me I was in Luck because she was looking to hire someone in June. Which was perfect for me. So She has me take the Pre-Employment test. Which I pass. She has me go home and email her my resume, so we would be ready to start in June. So I did that. I called her at the beginning of june.. She tells me " I don't have a start date for you, but call me next week, I should have it by then". I said ok. So the next Week, I call her. She asks me to come in that afternoon.. at 5pm. I said Ok. So that afternoon I get dressed. Go in there. Staff tells me she's gone home?. So I said ok. The next morning I called her. She apologized and said she forgot. And asked if I could come in on Monday... We're talking on Friday. I said sure. She said 3pm.. So Monday at 3pm. I go in there. The staff Pages her. She is nowhere to be found. The staff asks me to wait while they look for her, because she was " Just there". I wait for 45 minutes. Then out comes her " Assistant " Who is very nasty to me. She says to me ... " Sir, Why don't you just leave a message, and wait for her to contact you... Ok?" I said " Well, she asked me to be here, so that's why I'm here. I have no problem leaving a message though". I said " My name is...." Then this woman says back to me in a sharp, nasty tone of voice... " I already Know your name, we know who you are, " then she goes.. " Wow you must be having a rough day huh, not paying attention to well". I just looked at her in amazment that she could be so obnoxious. I just turned and walked out. Well, It's been 3 days. No call's , emails, or anything. My friend told me I should Call Corporate Wal Mart and talk to them about this issue. He used to be employed with wal mart and he said they are really good with this kind of stuff. My question is, should I follow his advice? Should I go straight to corporate? Or should I first try contacting the Overall Store Manager about the issue? Ps- At my old Job I was head of Loss Prevention, this job pay is much lower then my old one, but I need something to hold me over.. Also, In 6 years of being head of security... I never once forgot, or failed to show up at an interview.. That's why I'm so blown away at how this is happening to me. At the same time. I don't want Corporate to step in and help me. Only to end up having this woman hating me and trying to get me fired from day one?

  absoloutly contact corperate any buisness head would deffinately want this info and make sure you tell whomever you talk to about the assistant - sorry for bad english
