What is some good online Auction Websites Alternative to eBay?

Does anyone know of a viable alternative to Ebay's online auction?

  • With the seller fees being raised to near 9%.Adding Paypay final value fees on top of ebays fees (listing fee, final value fee ) It is no longer feasible for me , a small item seller, to sell and make a decent profit.. Ebay has grown too large and lost track of the little people that made them big, their official answer is they don't care, there is no alternative to them. IS THERE? Thanks, Bruce

there are some lesser known free auction sites. Try local online classifieds.

It doesn't offer the auctions like eBay does, but I usually sell my stuff on Amazon.com. You list your stuff for free and they pull a small commission when you sell it. I find it's easier and you don't have to pay for things that don't sell!

Craiglist!! And you list locally, so you don't have shipping charges. http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites.html Yahoo also has auction. (EDIT: yahoo auction looks like it's going away as of June)

http://www.elfingo.com is the new ebay alternative as far as I know. Many people I know went there. It really cant hurt to try it. I have a couple things listed right now to try out the waters. The totally free sites just don't work. I think this can be the ebay replacement if they keep getting bigger.
