How do I Sell ideas?

Some ideas with how to sell a self published book, and how to do so and get it out there?...?

• i am a kid and i am writing a novel, and when it is done i would like to try to send it to a few publishers and try to do that, but if i can't find any place to take it i want to self publish. I'm not quite sure how to do this though, i am guessing self publishing is just getting it in book form and everything myself (no clue how to do that) but when this happens, what are some ways I can get more people to buy it? I would sell it online, but i don't know how to make something like that on a website. Also when the time would come i would spread it to some people who might like it, maybe put an add in the newspaper or something, but i don't know many ways to actually sell it, as i am guessing you couldn't get a bookstore (like barnes and noble) to take a self published book to try and do that. please, serious answers that actually help, no saying just to finish my thing first or just to keep trying publishers or advising me against any of this, unless you have a helpful alternative.

  write your book on a blog,it is free,and it will be automatically published it depends on your content that who read it,you can also email its url to your friend,also can use adwords,chitika for advertising it (it costs minimum 5$ a month).if you are about to earn something from it you can also display their ads on it,but over all it is not a easy task to write anything.all the above facilities are free except advertising a blog.
